We are the behavioural ecology lab at the University of Macquarie and we study a range of weird and wonderful invertebrates.  We have lots of fun travelling to conferences together both in Australia and overseas and eat tonnes of cake. If you are interested in studying or volunteering with us in the lab or the field, please contact Marie or any other lab member!

PhD and Masters research projects available:
Several projects are currently available including:

  • the evolution of inaccurate mimicry in ant-mimics
  • sperm transfer dynamics in spiders
  • predator-prey interactions between spiders and Q-flies
  • the impacts of pesticides on arthropod predators
  • the role of spiders in urban ecosystems
